Burwood Brewing poured their first beer in June 2014 and have been growing their brewery ever since. We joke that our co-founder and masterbrewer, David, has fermentation in his blood. His passion for brewing started at a young age of 19 and beer has always been his focus. His wife, Jennifer, co-founder, sales and marketing has always had a passion for the beer industry. You can always find one of them or both of them in the building as it truly is their home away from home.
We are located in the heart of the Walla Walla wine region. Minutes away from downtown Walla Walla, located in the airport district, with some of the best views around and the best beers in our valley.
Burwood's taproom is a place to unplug, sit back and enjoy a cold delicious beer. Whether you are meeting up with old friends or making new ones our taproom has you covered. Plus you can take a peek through the windows to see our brewery.
"The Backyard" is our large outdoor patio and grassy area with tables and Adirondack chairs. During the year this is where you find the locals with families, dogs and friends hanging out or playing cornhole. Plus we have rotating food trucks Wednesday through Sunday so it is a great place to grab dinner.

Burwood Pilsner reveals a delicious hop bouquet of citrus and herbs that are followed by bright grains and honey. A blast of lemon zest and honeysuckle meets a barrage of bright malty goodness. The final sip delivers a harmonious blend of fragrant hops, bready malt with a rich golden color.
ABV 4.8% IBU 20
This American style Hefe Weizen has plenty of citrusy hops to balance the generous dose of wheat malt. Bravo hops provide enough balance for the bready wheat that you can skip the slice of lemon.
ABV 5.5% IBU 25
This sessionable RED ALE has a pleasant maltiness that is complemented by a gentle bitterness that finishes dry. Notes of caramel and roast make for a smooth long finish.
ABV 6.4% IBU 65
Golden copper, medium bodied IPA with a crisp mouthfeel that dominates with citrus peel, pine and luscious tropical fruit flavors and aromas. Finishes firm, clean and hoppy.
ABV 6.7% IBU 61
This hazy IPA is bursting with citrus, peach and tropical fruit flavors and aromas. The soft and smooth mouthfeel keeps your senses heightened to allow the full experience of wave after wave of juicy hop goodness.
ABV 7.2% IBU 86
This West Coast IPA "THE FANG" has a nice bite to it! The beer explodes with floral and citrus flavors, thanks to the generous amount of Amarillo and Sultana hops.
ABV 4.7% IBU 18
Our Mexican-style lager is clean and pale, with high clarity and low bitterness. Made with malted barley and flaked corn that give this refreshing beer light flavors without being overly sweet. Plus, we used a Mexican yeast strain to keep this beer crisp and balanced. Perfect for easy and casual drinking in the sun.
ABV 5.5% IBU 31
This black as night offering might look like a stout or porter but this beer has complex aromas and flavors in this “adult chocolate milk” of the beer world. Earthy, roasty aromas yield to flavors of fresh cream, cocoa and vanilla with a balanced zestiness from the hops. The rich breadyness drives on and on with dark fruit characteristics along the way. This medium body black beer embodies a clean, dry finish.
ABV 4.9% IBU 25
Our version of a traditional German Kölsch, light to medium in body, golden in color with a prominent, crisp bitterness. A true session beer.
ABV 5.2% IBU 22
This German-Style Lager was one of the first beers that David brewed at home to get him back into brewing and it helped us secure our start. Helles means “pale in color”. It is for beer lovers. Helles lager beers offer a touch of sweetness that balance a measurable addition of spicy German hop flavor and light bitterness. The malt character is soft and ready, clean and crisp.
ABV 5.9% IBU 38
This pale ale is dry-hopped with 4 hops; Chinook, Strata, Amarillo & Azacca. You will get flavors ranging from piney to spicy, citrus to strawberries, and melon to tropical fruits. The diminutive size of the Tiny Hatchet pale ale allows you to squeeze into tighter spaces and requires less hoppy backswing than if you were swinging a full hopped IPA. Don't let the small size fool you.
ABV 4.8% IBU 12
Golden Waves of Haze is a Hazy Pale Ale to celebrate harvest in the valley. This hazy beer has aromatic waves of citrus, pine and dank herb. The first taste reveals citrus peel, cream, and sweet stone fruit. Second taste, you're hooked! So, climb off your tractor and come grab a pint of this smooth hazy pale ale.
ABV 5.6% IBU 24
Oktöberfest (also called Märzen) is rich, complex and malty. This deep golden lager has a soft malt sweetness, pleasant mouth-feel and a slight hop spiciness. Grab yourself a pint before it's gone!
ABV 5.9% IBU 38
This pale ale has layered notes of pineapple, strawberry, citrus with a hint of coconut cream all coming from the hops. Clean and crisp.
ABV 5.4% IBU 0
P.O.G. Hard Seltzer, come try our house-made hard seltzer. A hint of passion fruit, orange and guava makes this feel like a tropical islands in a glass.
One sip of our Burwood Root Beer and you will be hooked. This caffeine-free and non-alcoholic beverage is a great treat alone or with a scoop of your favorite ice cream. It is only made with natural ingredients. YUMMY!

Yes, we fill growlers for off-premise consumption only. If you bring your growler in for a fill, we ask that it is clean as we do not fill dirty growlers. *Quick tip on cleaning: When you’re done using your growler rinse it out with hot water, leave the cap off and let it air dry. Don’t forget to save your cap! To take care of any odors, add baking soda and let it sit. After a bit shake it up, dump it out and rinse till the water comes clean.

We can’t prepare food onsite but we have a variety of snacks available in the taproom. You are always welcome to bring outside food or have something delivered to the taproom (1120 E Street). We work with a few local food trucks, so there is usually one on site Wednesday – Saturday, see our "Happening At The Brewery" calendar above.

We love all dogs and yours is welcome! Most days you will find Lola & Molly, the brewery Labradoodles hang out. We just require your dog to be friendly with people/pets, on a leash, keep them from barking and please pick up after your dog.
The only time we don't allow dogs is during our Summer Fest events (first Sunday, May through September). There are just too many people, too much food, and it can be way to hot for them.
